Dr. Riebel will continue to see patients and will be joined by several other dentists, assistants, hygienists, and administrators from Lima Dental Associates. The original office staff and hygienists will also remain with the new practice. The patients of New Bremen Dental Associates will now also have access to the latest state-of-the-art technology available – including same day crowns; dentures and advanced implant dentistry; oral cancer screenings; and more.

“I am so happy that the patients I have seen all these years will be in such good hands going forward,” said Dr. Riebel. “It has been my pleasure to treat the people in this community for all these years,” he added.

“New Bremen is a wonderful community and we’re excited about serving the people in this area,” said Dr. Risolvato. “Our goal is to provide the hometown service this population is accustomed to but with access to newer technology and treatments. We look forward to supporting the health of the families in this community as we have done in Lima,” he added.

WHY: To provide area kids with a safe, healthy and fun Halloween event and to encourage early intervention and education for positive lifelong oral health habits, and to bring awareness and funding for the vital services of the West Ohio Food Bank.

Goblins, pirates, princesses, and more costumed characters will convene and compete for best costume at the Lima Dental Associates 4th Annual Healthy Goblin Bash Saturday, October 27, 2012. The “bash,”sponsored by the Lima Dental Kids’ Club, is designed to provide area kids with a safe, healthy and fun Halloween event and to encourage early intervention and education for positive lifelong oral health habits. Party attendees will be hosted by Lima Dental’s own Sparkle! The Tooth Fairy as they enjoy Halloween arts and crafts, games, bounce houses, a costume contest and free refreshments, including the custom “Jack-O-Pizza,”and more.

Lima Dental Associates also hosts the event to help bring awareness and funding to the important mission of the West Ohio Food Bank (WOFB), and makes an annual donation of $5,000 to the food bank. The event is free to attend but parents are encouraged to make a cash donation to WOFB, and kids can bring canned goods and healthy snacks for WOFB’s weekend backpack program serving over 2,000 area youth each week.

“We are thrilled to be hosting the Lima Dental Kids’ Club Bash again this year,”said Dr. Erik Risolvato, D.D.S. “It just gets bigger and better every year. It’s a lot of fun but it’s also for such a good cause – the West Ohio Food Bank, who really needs the support of the community. We take great pride in our partnership with the food bank because we know they literally help to feed thousands and thousands of West Ohioans. They are a treasure in our community.”

The Healthy Goblin Bash is open to area kids aged 12 and under. A parent or guardian must accompany them. RSVP’s are strongly encouraged to ensure ample refreshments and supplies.

Our mission at your West Ohio Food Bank (WOFB) is to create a hunger-free West Central Ohio by soliciting and providing food and grocery products to approved distribution agencies, increasing public awareness of domestic hunger and advocating for public policies that eliminate this problem. WOFB was established in 1988 in Lima, Ohio as a means of providing food to those who were in need in the Lima area. Initially, only Lima residents were the recipients of the food from the food bank. Donations came from local constituents in and around the Lima area. Hundreds of goblins, witches, princesses, frogs, a Minnie Mouse, and more gathered for great fun and a good cause this past Saturday at the 3rd Annual Healthy Goblin Bash at UNOH Event Center. The Bash, created by Lima Dental Associates, was a free event open to children under 12 in the community, and featured Sparkle! The Lima Dental tooth fairy, their signature Jack-O-Lantern pizza, arts and crafts, games, a costume contest and parade, along with a $5,000 donation to the West Ohio Food Bank from Lima Dental. Voluntary cash donations from parents for the Food Bank were also accepted on-site, as well as non-perishable food items.

“The parents and kids really seem to enjoy our Bash every year. And, frankly, we enjoy all the planning and hosting,”said Dr. Erik Risolvato, DDS, General Dentist. “It’s a chance to remind kids that they can have Halloween fun that is healthy. Adding the benefit for the food bank has made it even more meaningful to Lima Dental.”

We recently asked you on Facebook, “What do you love most about fall in Ohio?” You said you loved “Ohio State Football, all the friendly people, the beautiful trees, homemade chili, apple cider and watching the leaves turn different shades.” We couldn’t agree more.

That’s why we shared our football tickets with “all the friendly people”- our friends. Over the past 6 weeks, we shared 12 Buckeyes football tickets with our buddies on Facebook.

Many more of our pals won weekly gifts cards to Lima’s premier local celebration venue, Westgate Entertainment Center. Two friends were surprised with random giveaways including a “Smile Package,” with a dental hygiene visit and x-rays (over a $400 value) and an iPod Shuffle.
