Dental implants can replace one or several missing teeth and are the ideal form of treatment for tooth replacement and to keep the jawbone from resorbing.
A common question asked is: can dental implants be used for people who have full dentures? The answer is, YES!
One of the biggest complaints from our denture wearers is that over time the dentures don’t fit well. They slip and move when the patients talk, eat, and can even fall out when sneezing or laughing. Dental implants may be the answer to these concerns!
By placing 2-4 implants per arch we can provide an anchor for a denture. The denture will seat on top of the dental implants. Dependent upon the patient’s needs, the denture will remain removable or be permanently attached to the dental implants.
Dependent upon the condition of the patient’s dentures, the patient will either need to modify their current dentures or have new ones made.
We are happy to answer questions about implant supported dentures.
